Volunteers

Join like-minded people in making a difference in the community, become a Naturally Beautiful Backyards Volunteer!

2008 Volunteer Training

Volunteer training provides citizens with the basic tools and knowledge to educate the public about earth-friendly gardening techniques. Topics include: soil health, composting, on-site stormwater management, beneficial insects, urban wildlife, native plants, invasive plants, Integrated Pest Management, vegetable gardening, and more!

NBB Volunteers Pat Hogan, Cindy Young, and Patricia Guy volunteer at the chicken lecture.

As a NBB Volunteer you will represent The NBB Program at fairs and garden shows, lectures, schools, the Earth-friendly Garden Tour, and several volunteer motivated projects. In return for the free training, Volunteers provide 30 hours of payback after the training is complete; that is less than 3 hours a month!
